Best of Both Worlds podcast: Stress management with Josephine Atluri

Best of Both World podcast with Laura Vanderkam

The past few months have been a wee bit stressful for many people (understatement). But stress is a part of life, and life has dealt many people stressful situations, pandemic or not. Today’s Best of Both Worlds podcast guest, Josephine Atluri, turned to mindfulness and meditation during her own long fertility journey, which involved adoption, IVF, and surrogacy. She shares that story in this episode, along with some techniques she uses in her work as a meditation teacher for managing tough situations and emotions. In the Q&A section, Sarah and I address a question from a listener who’s feeling very unmotivated at work, and wonders whether she should take a break, or just hang on.

Please give the episode a listen! And if you haven’t checked out Sarah’s new podcast, Best Laid Plans, please go listen to that one as well — her new episodes publish every Monday.

  1. I really enjoyed this episode and especially enjoyed hearing about her alternative approaches to growing a family!

Just a note – your (Laura’s) sound quality was bad during the “love the the week” section. Figured I’d like you know in case you hadn’t heard that from anyone else.
