Content + a brief CA trip

weekly planning habits

I made a very quick trip to California this week – happily, I managed to pack in a lot while there. I also got the thrill of riding over the Golden Gate Bridge. My Uber driver opened the roof so I could snap a picture. I also did some of my weekly planning in a cute little coffee shop. Almond milk lattes aren’t required for planning but…they do help.

This week’s content: Over at Before Breakfast I interviewed Alexandra Levit about how we can all keep learning (a useful skill in the AI age). In the short episodes I talked about the upsides when you “Use the fifth week of the month.” When there is a fifth of a particular day in a month, it can be fun to think of ways to use what (if you are smart) can be bonus time. Twice a month and every other week aren’t exactly the same things!

Over at Vanderhacks, my Substack newsletter, I wrote about “Two questions that will help make your home more organized,” and “How to make family time actually feel like quality time.” Behind the paywall, I wrote about “Seven shifts that make your workweek feel shorter.” Please check those out!
