When I first heard the title of lawyer-turned-entrepreneur Rachel Rodgers’ new book, I was intrigued. This did not sound like the usual personal finance title aimed at women! And indeed, We Should All Be Millionaires did not disappoint. Rachel wants people, especially those who have been historically underrepresented among the rich, to value their time, set clear boundaries, go for what they want in life, and step into the power that comes from being able to command and direct resources. Her company, Hello Seven, helps historically marginalized populations build wealth.
So Sarah and I were thrilled to welcome Rachel as a guest on Best of Both Worlds. In today’s episode, she talks about her own money story, the $10,000 challenge, entrepreneurship, outsourcing (we’re all fans!) and more.
In keeping with the power theme, the question section features one from a listener asking how to be more assertive in her new leadership role. For women, this is often a fine line, but it is possible to be an authentic and authoritative boss.
Please give the episode a listen! And be sure to get a copy of We Should All Be Millionaires.
