Lots of Best of Both Worlds listeners have also listened to The Mom Hour over the years, so Sarah and I are delighted to welcome Meagan Francis to the show today.
Meagan is the author of the brand new book The Last Parenting Book You’ll Ever Read — so called because it is about launching adult kids, and this new phase of life. She and I talk about that, and how she is ending The Mom Hour podcast and launching a new one about midlife leisure pursuits. Life changes and interests evolve for sure.
In the Q&A Sarah and I talk about what kids need to know as they’re going off to college. We mention certain health/first aid skills, financial skills, and general housekeeping. What would you add to the list? Please give the episode a listen, and as always we encourage ratings and reviews.
I think I can comprehend what makes Ms. Meagan Francis decide to end the “The Mom Hour” podcast and start a new podcast on midlife pursuits. Although, this means that I’ll need her to specify what ages she’s referring to as “midlife” – like, is she referring to those years that are right in the middle of one’s lifespan as “midlife”. I also think that you, too, will be helpful in figuring out one’s midlife leisure pursuits, Ms. Laura Vanderkam, since one can look at one’s time log to determine how much time one has that is free for pursuing any chosen activity each week and thus find the types of activities that can fit in this available amount of time each week.
Unfortunately, I don’t have anything to offer to the Q&A of this episode. And even if I do, I feel like my response is too convoluted for me to be willing to put it in my comment here.
