Best of Both Worlds podcast: Mailbag episode

At the Best of Both Worlds podcast, we love listener questions! In this episode, our first mailbag episode of 2022, we mostly tackle questions from our Patreon community. (Want to join? More details here. Our next monthly meet up will be next week!)

Topics include how to keep goals front-of-mind, ways to find childcare if you are bringing a baby with you on a work trip, ideas for non-overlapping spring breaks, tips for transitioning to a new job, and an in-depth discussion of one-on-one “kid dates.” Both Sarah and I do these with each member of our broods, though as the listener points out, some activities are more enjoyable than others!

Please give the episode a listen. We are always looking for more listener questions, whether for these all-mailbag episodes, or for the Q&A segment we do each week. Feel free to submit them here, or to me directly (lvanderkam at yahoo dot com). Thanks for tuning in!

  1. Good morning! I am an avid listening of your podcast and just finished listening to your mid-life-awakenings-plus-mailbag episode. In this episode you touched on caring for elderly parents with dementia. As you know, this is a hot topic as our baby boomers continue to age. This “sandwich generation” that is raising their own children, while also caring for their parents is struggling as the try to navigate these unchartered territories. I am a Therapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have spent my career working with these populations and providing educational programs on these topics. I would be delighted to talk with you more about how to build on this topic for a podcast episode. I would be happy to be a guest or provided content/tips to share as I feel you have the perfect audience to benefit from this information.

I included more information on my background below and am happy to answer any questions you may have.

    Warmest regards,
    Tania (currently being redeveloped)
