Best of Both Worlds podcast: Listener questions on goal-setting, grandparent presents, and more

We love listener questions! This week’s episode of Best of Both Worlds is an all-mailbag edition, including our first ever audio query (you can record one of your own here to submit. Just scroll down to the heading that says “Submit Audio Question” on Sarah’s blog — this is the same link for Best Laid Plans questions, so you might start by saying “This is a question for Best of Both Worlds,” but if you don’t we can figure it out.).

Topics covered include setting personal weekly goals, navigating grandparent gifts (with an aside on “stuff” — I think a little clutter in the service of relationships is not a bad trade-off. But then again, I have a basement!), and transitioning from one to two (or three or more!) kids. (Second aside: Please don’t use that “man to man to zone defense” joke…)

We also address a “what if” question asking whether we ever wish we would have taken time off from our jobs to stay home with our kids. Please give the episode a listen, and please share it with a friend who you think would enjoy the Best of Both Worlds podcast!

  1. I always love these Q and A episodes! Thank you for taking the time to answer my personal goal-setting question – I had at least 3 solid takeaways that I’m going to try in the coming weeks. I loved your answers to the “What If..” question – so validating! I did miss “the love of the week” though. Looking forward to more conversation style episodes 🙂
