I am on the road this week with very limited internet access, but I wanted to stop by quickly to post about this week’s episode of Best of Both Worlds.
Sarah and I began producing this podcast two years ago. So this week’s episode celebrates our second birthday! We reminisce a bit about how we got started, and then talk about our process: how we come up with ideas, how we record, and where we see the podcast going in the next year or so.
We end with a very BOBW question. A newly pregnant listener is looking into daycares for next spring, and is weighing between two (both good) options, looking at distance from house, hours of operation, etc. We discuss how to think about this question, and give her major props for thinking this far ahead.
In the meantime, we’re always trying to grow the podcast. We’re at about the 1 million download mark, which is awesome. How about a million more in the next year? If you enjoy the podcast, please tell your friends. And please leave us a review at Apple podcasts or wherever you listen. Thanks so much!
Intrigued to learn more about the live event! I’ll put a plug in for Boston! Thank you for 2 years of Best of Both Worlds.
Thank you for all of the hard work you guys put in the Podcast, I look forward to listening for another two years. I’m not sure if you guys have done an episode yet about working, kids and dealing with aging parents?? Like managing time off between kid and parent doctor appointments that sort of thing. I’m in that stage right now and would to hear how others are balancing it all.
YES! Especially would love to hear about people whose parents don’t live in the same state and how people make that work.
Favorite podcast, hands down! Thanks for all the hard work.
As for a live event, big vote for DC. There’s a dense population of your core audience – the professional woman – and it’s an easy flight or train ride for both of you! Happy to sign on as a hype girl / promoter / evangelist / whatever-the-term-is and prompt a few dozen women to purchase tickets!
Congrats on your 2 year milestone! A time management fact is that time flies when you’re having fun (even while doing everything you can to savor it) and it sure has while listening. Keep up the great work (and a vote for Toronto here!)
