Just a quick post with some links for the week! Over at Before Breakfast, I interviewed organization expert Laurie Palau. We talked organization (of course!) but also scaling up a business that is about “you” — and how that might be possible. Please check that out! The short episodes covered topics such as “How long are your evenings?” (often longer than people think), “Map out your focused time,” and “You are not a middle schooler changing classes.” It can be easy to see a workday schedule become a march from one meeting to another (“here’s my 1:00, my 2:00, my 3:00…”) but hopefully all those meetings are both necessary and accomplishing something.
At Vanderhacks, my Substack newsletter, I suggested that you “Celebrate your good habits.” Some things that are easy for one person — even automatic — aren’t for everyone. So if it never even occurs to you to hit the snooze button, or something like that, give yourself some credit! Behind the paywall I wrote about “Little ways to be more efficient” — plus a few things that seem efficient but aren’t.
And if you didn’t get a chance to listen to the Best of Both Worlds episode about friend trips, please check it out.
Thank you for supporting me and my work.
