We love morning routines at BOBW! Well, some of us (Sarah) love mornings more than others of us (Laura) but nonetheless, it feels great to start the morning off right.
As the kids head back to school, it’s a great time to rethink your own morning routine. To help with that, we invited Liz Baker Plosser to the show. Liz is the editor-in-chief of Women’s Health magazine. She’s also the author of the new book Own Your Morning, which is all about how she has learned to embrace mornings as a busy mom of three young kids, and how you can too. The book features lots of tips from the experts at Women’s Health — I’m a subscriber and always find something useful in the magazine. So please check it out! You can connect with Women’s Health at @womenshealthmag on social, and with Liz personally at @lizplosser. If you post about your morning routine, tag #OwnYourMorning so Liz can share your morning wins!
Now I’m about to set the alarm earlier than I have in a while to deal with the first morning of school…
Is this book going to be available on audible?
@Star – it’s kind of written like Women’s Health – lots of short essays and sidebars, so it might not lend itself to audio. But we shall see! I’m not actually sure.
I really enjoyed this episode 🙂 I am not a morning person AT ALL but this gave me hope. I couldn’t get back to sleep yesterday when I woke at 4:30am so I decided to get up. It was kind of amazing to have so much time before I had to harass the kids about getting ready for school! I definitely want to move towards a consistent “morning routine” – it really makes my day feel like it’s starting off on the right foot.
