Every winter, Sarah and I do a goals episode of Best of Both Worlds. Since the year is half-way done, we decided to check back in during this episode. What has happened? What hasn’t?
The good news is that this year is shaping up to be a lot more predictable than last year, and so many 2021 intentions have happened. Sarah did her Mommy Days with all three kids over spring break, and took her couples trip with Josh. I finished the research for Tranquility by Tuesday, and am now knee deep in writing that. And waist deep in home renovations? Lots of big projects going on around here.
We end with a listener question about a summer flex program. While we appreciate that this organization offers people options, in our listener’s case we think it makes more sense to dip into her deep well of paid time off to get a few summer days free.
Please give the episode a listen, and as always we welcome ratings/reviews! How are you doing on your 2021 resolutions/goals?
I think Sarah shouldn’t be as dismissive of getting G potty trained! That was a major accomplishment for us this spring, although something I didn’t explicitly plan because we had a failed attempt last year during the beginning of the pandemic! I know it’s something that every kid eventually figures out but I found it more challenging than I anticipated.
And it’s good to know that Giant brand sweatshirt is worth the money paid! Anne Bogel has mentioned it, so I clicked on the link and had sticker shock when I saw the price! But if frugal people find it worth the money, I may need to consider getting one in the fall (it’s too dang hot here in MN to think about sweatshirts – we are having an unseasonably warm start to summer!).
@Lisa – I still wind up wearing my hoodie in summer, especially late at night or early in the morning, or when I’m going somewhere that I suspect will be overly air conditioned! I’m a fan.
