I wrote about “Tithing and Happiness” a few weeks ago. I’m now working on an article on a similar topic, and would love to talk to some folks who tithe. Why do you do it, and how does it affect your life? Please feel free to forward this request to people you think might be interested in being interviewed: lvanderkam at yahoo dot com. Thanks!
I’m one of the tithers who commented previously and am willing to be interviewed. I’m on Pacific Standard Time and will give you my phone number if you request it. You can see my e-mail, if you prefer an e-mail interview. (probably more coherent)
You are welcome to interview me (please use email address). We tithe, but we don’t usually tithe to any church…mostly because I don’t like how churches (sometimes) use the money. We use all of our tithe money to buy shares of wells or to provide clean drinking water through World Vision. It seems to me the most direct way to help the greatest number of people, and very much in line with God’s priorities (he talks a LOT about how how he identifies with the poor in the bible)
