Best of Both Worlds podcast: Avoiding the comparison trap with Kate Strickler

In the modern world, it is easy to compare and despair. Once, we only saw the lives of people around us. The proverbial Joneses had relatively similar living situations. Now, you can see the lifestyles of the rich and famous quite easily, and life can feel lackluster by comparison.

Today’s guest on Best of Both Worlds, Kate Strickler, is the author of the new book I Just Wish I Had a Bigger Kitchen. She and Sarah talk about this tendency toward comparison, and how Kate has struggled with it and worked to overcome it.

In the Q&A we take a question from a listener who will be traveling overseas for several days for the first time without her family. Should she try to FaceTime her kids while she’s there or will this just disrupt life back home? We share our answers — feel free to let us know yours!
