Friday content round-up, late March edition

I have been having trouble adjusting back to the eastern time zone from Spain. I have been crashing at night and waking up fairly early (like 4:45 a.m.) and not being able to go back to sleep…which of course means I’m exhausted by 10 p.m. and the cycle starts over again.

It is definitely spring around here. I went for a walk with a friend on a trail this morning and there was a gentle green on everything.

I never posted a content round-up last week, so here are a few things from the last 14 days.

Over at the Before Breakfast podcast I did an interview last week with Anne-Laure Le Cunff, author of Tiny Experiments. We talked about trying small things for limited amounts of time and seeing what comes of it. Then, this week, I interviewed Emily Kwilinski, a Shakespeare scholar and magazine editor, about how to start reading the classics. You all know I love a good old book! The shorter episodes covered such topics as why you should “Track downtime at work” and the case for why you should “Set quarterly goals.

Over at Vanderhacks, my Substack newsletter, I noted that “You don’t get what you don’t ask for,” and that it might be wise to “Control what comes in.” Behind the paywall, I talked about “How to plan when life is up in the air.” Even if the future feels really uncertain, there are still ways to have some agency over time. Thanks for supporting my work!
