Just a quick post about launch day events. I went into NYC yesterday to chat with Angela Jia Kim at a Savor the Success event. We talked time management, ambition, and letting go of stuff that doesn’t matter. The audience was great. This photo is of the two of us, and here’s one down a ways in this post of me signing books. I also got to toast the release with Portfolio publicist Stefanie Rosenblum, and my editor, Natalie Horbachevsky. I went out to dinner afterwards with Nancy Sheed of Sheed Communications, who’s been working with me for 5 years now. Five years! And four book launches! That called for some bubbly drinks.
I got up in the morning and headed over to 30 Rock to be on the Morning Joe show. I was interviewed by Mika Brzezinski, who has also written several books on the topic of women, work, and life. It was a great segment, especially since I got to be on with Zanny Minton Beddoes, the editor of the Economist, and I am a total Economist fan. I’m working a bit now, then heading back to Philly to do Wharton Business Radio’s Women and Business show (you can hear it on Sirius). Then back to NYC on Thursday for the Henri Bendel event with Farnoosh Torabi. Thanks for everyone’s help with spreading the word yesterday, in blogs and on social media. I really appreciate it!
