Last call for Mosaic logs

I’ll be on vacation for the next week, and probably won’t be posting much here, but I promise I’ll be trying to come up with new and exciting things to say once I’m back!

In the meantime, this is the last Mosaic public service announcement for a while: If you’re still considering getting me a log, now is the time to do it. There is more about the Mosaic project here, but basically, I’m studying how high-earning ($100k plus) women with kids spend their time. I recognize that many other people will be on vacation next week as well between the various holidays, but if you keep a log for the week after (April 21-28) that would be fine, as would the next week (the first week of May). After that, I may need to cut it off so I can start finalizing some of the data.

You can be anonymous for this project. I also welcome people who wish to be interviewed on the record.

I really appreciate all the readers who have chipped in so far! It has been fascinating to see how people live their lives. The quickest way to get the time log is just to Google “168 hours log” and you should get a webpage here called “Manage YOUR time.” That will give you an Excel version (or PDF) to download. It’s nothing fancy, so you’re also welcome to create your own spreadsheet, or use a word doc, or an app like Toggl. Track a week and send it back!

I’d love to hear if you’re doing it, just so I have a sense of what’s coming in. As always, you can email me at lvanderkam at yahoo dot com. Thanks so much.

  1. Looks like I’ll be starting work again in a couple of weeks, and I’d love to do this, but it might be too late for you. But it’ll be a good exercise for me anyway 😉
