Friday links

If you’re in the US, I hope you have a great long weekend! If you’re in the UK, particularly in London, I hope you’ll consider coming to hear me next week at a Red Magazine event. I’ll be speaking on Thurs Sept 5 at 8 a.m. on What the Most Successful People Do Before Breakfast. Tickets are available by following that link. I’ll also be on BBC radio, Bloomberg Pulse, and a few other things.

Also on the speaking docket: I’ll be doing a Creative Live course on October 2 on how to make the most of mornings, weekends, and workdays. You can watch the course live for free; they sell recordings afterwards. If you live in the San Francisco area, they’re also looking for people to be part of the studio audience. Follow the link in this paragraph to learn more.

Over at Fast Company this week, I wrote about “How creating a better bucket list becomes a blueprint for living your best life.

I have a piece at Brazen Careerist on “How to find an extra hour every day to advance your career.

And a special request for teachers: I’m working on a project for the Philanthropy Roundtable that looks at questions of teacher and principal quality. I would love to talk to more teachers about how they would advise philanthropists to spend their money to help teachers be more effective at their jobs — looking at recruiting, training, retention, professional development, policy, etc. Please email me if you’d like to talk: lvanderkam at yahoo dot com. Thanks!
